Pollo Campero Trenton

I go here a couple of times a month. The chicken is great. I always order online and my food is ready when I get there. Staff is friendly and it is usually busy. AND, when I order online, after I pick up my order, they always send a survey about my experience. After I complete the survey, I always get an email with a code for 2 free pieces of chicken.

We only ordered a take-out from Pollo Campero, last night, and the experience was quite good. Pollo Campero, started in Guatemala over 50 years ago has become a very popular franchise chain in the Central American countries, originally in Guatemala, then in El Salvador, consequently making its way to numerous countries including the US, Spain and even China. Thoroughly cooked (no annoying pink in the middle), perfectly breaded, the chicken had a perfect texture and tasted deliciously. Pollo Campero offers numerous different options for your meal, the chicken is prepared according to your choice (fried, grilled or deep fried using the proprietary "Campero" recipe). For your sides, you can choose between French fries, Yuka fries, cole slaw, Campero beans, Campero rice, plantains, guacamole, corn or "Garden" salads. The prices are on a higher side for a chain restaurant, but the food is nowadays expensive everywhere, so no complaints.

This is, without a doubt, some of the best fried chicken I've had. This fed 6 people for 99.75 with plenty of leftovers. Food came out fast and hot... Fair warning, you will be the only non hispanic in here

I cannot praise you guys enough. I live about an hour away from the Trenton location and people look at me like I’m crazy when I tell them I drive an hour away for fried chicken. But I always tell them that if they tried it, they would understand. I was never really a fried chicken person, but the flavor of Campero change that. I am a mac & cheese lover, and you guys have one of the best mac & cheese. My husband and I visit often and the staff is always friendly in the service is usually pretty quick. I would like to point out that the absolute best part of my visit every time is the security guard who welcomes us in each time. This man is always friendly, always attentive to everything that’s going on, and always has a smile on his face. I always make sure to say goodbye to him and we always look forward to seeing him when we come back. We love Campero very much, my only request is that you bring the Crema that they serve in the Guatemala locations. My husband is working, but we have been craving Campero so I made the drive out tonight and I had a lot of food to take with me and the security guard was nice enough to carry some bags out with me so I didn’t have to take multiple trips by myself. Thank you, Campero. We hold you very near and dear to our heart.

It was my first time visiting here and better than expected. Tasty chicken and not greasy at all. Enjoyed Horchata as self pour option along with fruit juices.

I cannot speak at to the service, as I ordered the food online, but the food was absolutely delicious! I've tried both the fried and grilled chicken, and Mac and Cheese! The Mac was a bit spicy for my taste, but I have a low tolerance for that, so I wouldn't let that dissuade you. Both the grilled and fried chicken were well seasoned and they weren't dry at all. I've also heard the plantains are good, but I haven't had them myself.
